Episode 4 – YOU

Yes, we will have an episode on May 25 – Memorial Day in the United States. The show will be all about YOU. We are doing our first program with call-ins by listeners, and devoting the entire show to what you have to say. Who knows? Maybe Bruce and Carol will head out to lunch and leave you to run the show!

I heard Bruce use the word “authenticity” in answering the first caller. I am often perplexed at churches who are convinced its a “program” vs. “authentic” world. I just started my first call and there is a deep sense of doing “something” – but I was firm about how we “are” church in our being while we seek to understand where we are to be who we already are in Christ. In short, I appreciated the nod toward “being” instead of the nod toward “programming”.
Monica – Hopefully I also prefaced by saying that the word “authentic” is hard to define. I think you are right on in the BEing of the church rather than the DOing. The hard part is so many of us only understand and define our being by what we DO. Congrats on the first call as well!
