In the first episode of our 4th season, we invited Steve Knight of the Transform Network to join Carol Howard Merritt and Landon Whitsitt to discuss mission in the 21st century church. Some highlights from the show… Steve talked about the Transform Network (1:00), what missional communities have in common (6:05), grassroots vs. top-down models (11:12), what the end of networking together should be (13:06). Landon and Carol then jump into the convo (24:38), discuss what “missional” means (26:15), differences between evangelical and mainline churches in regards to culture (29:48), and then how denominationalism isn’t where “silos” of culture are anymore (42:55).
